Poem Booth × NewU at New York's Festa della Repubblica

Last Wednesday we teamed up with NewU to bring the Poem Booth to the Festa della Repubblica — Italy's Republic Day — hosted by the Italian Consulate General in New York. Between the prosecco and the celebrations, guests stepped in front of the booth for a portrait unlike any other.

Styled into 1950s Italy

The concept played on the spirit of the young Italian Republic: in seconds, guests were transported to the Italy of the 1950s — dressed in impossibly elegant vintage Italian fashion and set against icons like the Duomo of Milan, the streets of Lecce and the cliffs of Capri. Each portrait came out as a polished vintage travel poster.

It was a big hit. The portraits keep getting better as the underlying AI models improve, and guests lined up to take home their own printed souvenir of la dolce vita.
