What exactly is the Poem Booth?
The Poem Booth is an AI-powered experience available in three modes: Poem Booth (personal poetry), Portrait Booth (AI art portraits), and Roast Booth (comedy roasts). It features an open, elegant design that fits any event.
How does the Poem Booth work?
Press the button, pose for the camera, and within 15-30 seconds our AI generates a personal poem, art portrait or comedy roast based on your photo. Share or print the result instantly.
Is the Poem Booth suitable for any type of event?
Yes. The Poem Booth has been used at corporate events, parties, weddings, festivals, trade shows, product launches, libraries and cultural events. Thanks to its sleek, open design it fits any setting.
What languages does the Poem Booth support?
By default the Poem Booth operates in English or Dutch. Additional languages (German, French, Italian and more) are available as an add-on.
Where can I hire the Poem Booth?
The Poem Booth is available worldwide, with hubs in Amsterdam and New York. Contact us at contact@poembooth.com for availability and pricing. In the Breda region, you can also hire the Poem Booth through our partner Lach je Lens at the same rates.
How long does it take to create a portrait or poem?
That depends on the internet speed at your venue. On a normal connection, a portrait takes about 10–40 seconds and a poem about 10–20 seconds. When a portrait includes extra assets — such as logos that need to be processed — expect it to land closer to the 40-second end of that range.
Can I brand the booth for my client?
Yes. For the Poem Booth and Roast Booth you can add your client's logo and colours to the generated artworks and prints. For the Portrait Booth we offer product placement: your client's product is integrated directly into the AI portrait.
Can the style of poems or portraits be customized?
Yes. For poems you can choose from different poet styles or create a custom tone-of-voice. For portraits we can design a fully custom AI art style. For roasts the comedy style can be tailored to your audience. This falls under our Thematic Content add-on.
How does setup and logistics work?
We handle complete setup and teardown. Setup takes about 1 hour, teardown 45 minutes. You only need to provide a power outlet (110V/230V) and stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Can the Poem Booth be hired for multiple days?
Yes. We offer day rates with discounts from the second day onwards. Contact us for a custom quote for multi-day events.
Can I collect the email addresses of guests who use the booth?
Yes. With our Email delivery add-on, guests leave their email address to receive their poem or portrait automatically. After the event you get access to these opt-in email addresses — a great way to capture leads and grow your audience. Just add it when you book.
Is the Poem Booth suitable for a private party?
Absolutely. The Poem Booth is perfect for private parties, weddings and celebrations. Guests receive a personal poem, portrait or roast as a unique keepsake.
How much space does the Poem Booth need?
The Poem Booth requires a footprint of about 1.5m x 1.5m (5ft x 5ft). It can be placed both indoors and outdoors (shade required outdoors).
Can guests share their result immediately?
Yes. After generating your poem or portrait, a QR code appears that you scan directly with your phone. You can also print results on the spot with an optional printer add-on.
How much does it cost to hire the Poem Booth?

What are the different booth types?
We offer three booth types: Poem Booth generates a personal poem from your photo (~15 sec). Portrait Booth creates an AI art portrait (~30 sec). Roast Booth writes a hilarious comedy roast (~15 sec). Each can be customized to your event.
Can I combine multiple booth types at one event?
Yes, you can make multiple booth types available at a single event. Guests then choose which experience they want. Contact us to discuss the options.
Which poets and art styles is the AI based on?
